Honey & Mustard Sauce Stew

A combination of 100% fresh ingredientsr. Combined to give your meat or stew mouth blasting flavour.

Ingredients: 

  • 1kg chicken wings or chicken pieces or lamb ribs [500g if using 200g sauce]
  • 6ml salt [3ml for 200g sauce]
  • 10ml baking powder [5ml for 200g sauce]
  • 30ml oil [15ml for 200g sauce]

Preparation:

1. Pre heat oven to 180 c

2. Oil baking pan.

3. Rub protein with salt & baking powder.

4. Place protein on the oiled pan, bake for 40mins.

5. Baste in marinade and bake for another 40 mins at 150, bast again every 10 mins.

Mild Briyani

Ingredients required:

  • 1kg lamb or chicken pieces
  • 3-4 large potatoes
  • 30ml oil
  • ¼ teaspoon egg yellow powder
  • +/- ½ cup lentils
  • 2 cups rice tastic or 3 cups Bismati rice
  • 125g butter cut into cubes
  • Salt for rice & potatoes

 

Preparation:

  1. Marinate meat or chicken overnight in sauce.
  2. Peel and cut potatoes into wedges and deep fry in oil. Remove and sprinkle with a 1/2 of the egg yellow powder & season with salt.
  3. Separately parboil lentils and rice with salt (1 tsp of salt for every cup of rice or lentils)

 

For Lamb

  1. Heat oil on high. Add meat and cook for 15 mins uncovered.
  2. Reduce heat to low and cook for 40 mins covered.
  3. Layer potatoes, then lentils, and rice on top of meat.
  4. Place butter cubes on top and sprinkle with egg yellow powder.
  5. Simmer on low for 30 mins until potatoes and meat are soft. No liquid should be seen at the bottom of the pot.
